Just because T.O. is in Buffalo, doesn’t mean the crying has stopped in Dallas.
With Owens no longer in the picture it is Roy Williams that is playing the part of an outspoken receiver. Williams was supposed to be The Cowboys go-to option, but while Miles Austin has shined, Williams has fizzled. In his first three starts Austin set an NFL record with 482 yards receiving. Williams, meanwhile, has 447 yards on the season.
The stats point to a new No. 1 option in Dallas, but Williams doesn’t agree. Consider his recent comments:
“I’m the No. 1 receiver, but things are just going No. 2’s way.”
“He gets the ball thrown correctly his way,” he said of Austin. “I’m stretching and falling and doing everything. Everybody [else] who’s been here’s balls are there. Our footballs [from Romo to Williams] are everywhere right now.”
The controversy never ends in Dallas. Of coarse the Cowboys, who face the Eagles Sunday Night on NBC, have done everything they can to fix their newest PR disaster.
Romo recently came out and said the team is not and will not be divided. Then Williams came out to re-clarify his remarks and said “I’m not a T.O. or I’m not trying to be a T.O. I don’t know why people are trying to put me in that category because I’m happy to win. I’ve said that 100 times.”
Boy those day after quotes really make up for what is said the first time, don’t they? Williams might want to check with T.O or Cole Hamels about how their retractions have worked out.
At least with T.O. he had production with his mouth. Williams is just an average receiver with a larger-than average mouth.
Maybe the Eagles will shut him up Sunday night.

With that thing, it’s not that big deal anymore and since many people are very open-minded enough, it’s just part of the show….
