It all goes right for Flyers
by Eric SchwartzThe Flyers did exactly what they need to do.
An when they were finished I hope they sent “Thank You” cards to the Sabres and Devils.
For one night everything came together.
Brian Boucher turned back the clock posting his first shutout of the year as the Flyers blanked the Toronto Maple Leafs, 2-0.
While that goodness was taking place the Sabres took down the Rangers 5-2 and the Devils shut down the Thrashers, 3-0.
The win moved the Flyers in to 7th place, one point ahead of idle Boston.
It also ensured that the Thrashers will not be joining the playoff party. The Rangers now sit four points behind the Flyers, but have an additional game to play.
With the way things are set up the Flyers should be able to lock up a playoff spot by winning of their final two games against the Rangers.
While no one wanted or expected the Flyers to be in the position, there is something fun and exciting as a fan, watching your team fight like crazy over the final week of the season.
Every shot, every save, even ever pass is tension-filled is things become magnified with so much on the line.
This is playoff hockey folks.
Enjoy it, just in case the real thing doesn’t last that long.

Got something to say?
Rangers vs Leafs tomorrow night. If the Leafs win flyers are in. If the Rangers win the flyers need 2pts in the final 2 games. If the Rangers lose in OT then the flyers only need 1 pt in the final two games.
LETS GO LEAFS!!!!!
i hate to say it im a leafs fan for a day haha
